Cut away a small bit of ginger and garlic (size of a fingernail). Preheat a pot on medium heat, add the sesame and olive oil and let the garlic and ginger fry for approximately 2 minutes.
Then add the brown sugar and lightly caramelize. Deglaze with all the liquids and let it simmer until your desired thickness of the Teriyaki Sauce is reached (approx. 20 minutes for a sauce / 30 minutes for a glaze).
